My martial arts journey began with judo when I was eight years old. Inspired by my father, who was a black belt and instructor, and my two brothers who also trained. In my early teens I transitioned into boxing, developing a strong foundation in striking, footwork, and competitive spirit. As my skills in boxing advanced I couldn't help but feel a sense of restriction within my training. I wanted to learn how to kick and how to grapple. I later found my true calling in Jeet Kune Do, where I eventually earned my black belt. The concepts and philosophies of JKD have always resonated with me because of its emphasis on adaptability, freedom of expression, and the integration of multiple martial arts disciplines. Alongside JKD, I trained extensively in Kickboxing and Kali, further expanding my skill set. I have competed in Boxing, Kickboxing, and stick fighting, earning victories and valuable experience that shaped my approach as both a martial artist and coach. Today I coach Kickboxing and JKD/Kali, sharing the knowledge I have gained. My greatest passion lies in teaching — watching students develop confidence, overcome challenges, and realise their potential. Martial arts has given me a strong mindset and a clear drive in life, and I take great pride in helping others discover the same.
